Because I think there are people who work better knowing and planning their schedules. But I am also finding that there are people who would shy away from Blogging all together if they were asked to think of a target.

When I started, and up until today actually, I felt I will Blog only when inspired, with no target in mind at all. And I have Blogged because I have an idea in my head and want to put it down and save or it is an idea for a workshop that I write about or an idea from a workshop and want to keep a record of that insight and share it with the workshop members. And eventually I may end up putting the posts together into a book.

But today, I did decide that I have so many ideas in my head that its a disservice to myself if I don't get it out of my system, and plan to post at least once a week :)

Good to connect with you :)Shalini Bahl, PhDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02354230676070699802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1024239113893153655.post-10375805552660312052010-03-16T21:00:57.396-04:002010-03-16T21:00:57.396-04:00Hi Shalini,

After similar discussions and consideration, my client and I decided that having a *target* that felt like a reasonable guideline would prove helpful for those of us who DO have something to say, but who also need to budget our time among many hourly demands.

My personal target blog publishing period is once per week. This way, I have set it as ONE of my priorities, but am not making it the such a big thing that it becomes burden taking away from other important priorities in my life.

My client and I also agreed that when we are passionate about our topics, we *want* to share, so working from that place, it is not about only visibility and marketing strategy, but about real value shared that allows others to make a brand of *who* we actually are, and then choose whether they like that brand. Speaking personally, that is how I like to work. :)

M. Petruzzi
http://www.DesireEngine.commpetruzzihttp://www.desireengine.comnoreply@blogger.com
